Territori Museum – ”House Pezzolla”: Alberobello's Museum of country civilizations
The Job team “Sylva”, moreover , gives the chance to have guided visits insides the Territory Museum – House Pezzolla, the biggest complex of contiguous and communicating trulli to be seen in Alberobello. They are fifteen and the oldest ones date back to the 18th century. The Museum, acknowledged as a UNESCO's World Heritage in 1996, is located in a place rich of cultural and environmental importance: “the Murgia of Trulli” and it acts as a hinge between two building traditions: the dry trullo's and the house's (with mortar). The museum expresses the will to save and tell the Trulli territory's history. What's more, inside it will be possible to visit exhibitions of figurative, photographic and sculptural arts. The museum is intended so to act as a cultural catalyst of the entire territory.
